This past Saturday, I had the opportunity to be part of a diabetes prevention presentation for the Dorchester Vietnamese population at VietAID. Our talk and interactive presentation was based on trying to get this population to achieve 150 minutes of moderately vigorous exercise throughout the week. We focused on increasing resisted exercise, walking with some light inclines, and taking some time for yourself beyond your normal daily activities.
It was a very good time and well attended. All participants took home an exercise loop, educational materials, and printed exercises. It was a wonderful opportunity!
